Motivation is a very broad topic and usually a very subjective one. It is in a close correlation with your goal. When it comes to training and staying on track with your fitness regimen, most people who have been leading an active lifestyle for a longer time will give you a pretty simple answer – create habits.
Having a regimen is indeed that – a sequence of habits.
I can confirm that myself – it gets easier over time because training, as well as proper nutrition, become an established part of your day and there’s no room for questioning it. Â
Creating those habits takes time (as with any other habits for that matter) and the road to it isn’t always smooth.
There are multiple things to keep in mind when you want to make sure that you are staying on track with your plan and here is my list of the key factors for that:
1. Setting a specific goal

Without a concrete goal in front of you, it’s easy to fall off the road and lose the purpose of why you started in the first place. There are a few things to keep in mind when deciding on your goal.
First, keep it realistic. Yes – it needs to be challenging, but aiming for something that is simply unattainable, only sets you up for failure and frustration.
Second, make it measurable. Make sure that at a certain point in time you can measure your success and see if you are slacking or not.
